Tottenham Players Can’t Wait for Sunday’s Game

The Spurs haven’t won a Premier League game in London since November 3. They have, however, won two EPL games on the road since then.

First, they beat Manchester City 4:0 in their last Premier League game in December. Then, in their most recent league game, they defeated Southampton 5:0. The win in question ended their winless run, giving the much-needed morale boost to the players.

Sure, Southampton isn’t a very tough opponent – this is the team currently sitting at the bottom of the table – but Tottenham’s players really put on a good show in that game.

James Maddison was incredible with two goals, while the other three were the work of Heung-Min Son (who also made two assists), Dejan Kulusevski (who’s now scored in each of his last three games), and Pape Sarr (who got on the scoresheet for the first time since October).

Liverpool Looking Unbeatable Right Now

The Red are sitting at the top of the Premier League table with 36 points, which is two more than second-placed Chelsea. Plus, they got one game in hand, meaning that they can easily increase the point gap between them and the Blues.

Such a thing seems reasonable, given that these guys have been in top form. They’re without a single loss in all competitions since mid-September. From late October to early December, we saw them win seven games in a row.

However, since the start of this month, they’re 3-2. Not too bad, but what worries their fans, at least slightly, is that both of those draws happened in their last two Premier League games.

They played 3:3 with Newcastle, a team that’s famous for not scoring too many goals. Then, they played 2:2 with Fulham at home. So, what’s going on there? Well, the Reds were without several of their key men in those games (e.g., Alisson), while some of their men made huge blunders in those two games.

Alisson’s replacement Caoimhin Kelleher was the one to blame for Newcastle’s late equalizer, while in the game with Fulham, Andrew Robertson got sent off in the 16th minute of the game.

Tottenham vs. Liverpool Prediction

In nine of the last 10 Tottenham vs. Liverpool duels, we saw both teams scoring. In their last meeting, we saw a total of six goals. We’re certain something similar will happen on December 22. Our prediction is that this will end in a high-scoring draw, so either 2:2 or 3:3.

Pick: Draw & Over 3.5 Goals
