Superbet Brasil, official sponsor of São Paulo and Fluminense, achieved a historic milestone as the first bookmaker to pay the R$30 million fee required to become a regulated operator in Brasil. With this step, the company fully confirmed its strict compliance with Ministry of Treasury standards.

The platform was the second in the industry to apply for authorization to operate in Brazil, following Betano. However, it was the first to finalize the granting process and securing its place in the national market.

Despite being established just a year ago, Superbet has shown a strong commitment to operating within legal frameworks. The company exclusively conducts business in regulated markets, with highlighting its ethical and professional approach to the sports betting industry.

In an interview with Panel S.A., Alexandre Fonseca, CEO of Superbet Brasil, mentioned:

A regulated market promotes legal and tax security for operations, increases revenue for the Union and offers greater protection to players. All serious operators in the sector share these objectives.

Superbet’s move into regulation strengthens the potential of Brazil’s sports betting sector, indicating notable progress in the local market.

Régis Dudena, the Secretary of Prizes and Bets, announced:

From the last fortnight of December, a list of companies authorized to operate in Brazil from January 1, 2025 will be published in the Official Gazette. This list will include companies that made their request by August 20.
