San Francisco 49ers Love Playing in Florida
The last time the Niners played against the Miami Dolphins in Florida, they lost 31:24. However, that happened more than eight years ago. They haven’t played against them on the road since.
However, they have played against the other two Florida-based teams in recent years. In November, they defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23:20 at Raymond James Stadium. Last year, we saw them blow out the Jacksonville Jaguars 34:3 at EverBank Stadium.
What needs to worry the Niners ahead of the Week 16 clash in Florida is that they haven’t been great on the road in the 2024 NFL. In fact, they lost their last two away games – to the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers, scoring just 10 points in each.
Scoring has been their main problem lately, with quarterback Brock Purdy throwing for just three touchdowns in the last four games. Their running game has been disappointing as well. Jordan Mason and Isaac Guerendo have been okay, but they just can’t fill the void left by Christian McCaffrey who’s currently on injured reserve.
Can Miami Dolphins’ Guards Protect Tua?
Miami’s QB Tua Tagovailoa is a hell of a player, who’s thrown for at least one TD in every single game for more than a year. He’s great, but his bodyguards are not, which is why he’s getting hit a lot.
Tua has suffered a concussion on four separate occasions since 2022. One of those happened in September. Furthermore, he injured his hip last weekend, which is why his status is set as questionable at the moment.
We’re certain he’ll play on Sunday as the Niners vs. Dolphins is a crucial game for his team. But his teammates need to protect him unless they want to see him exit the game before the final whistle.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Miami Dolphins Week 16 Predictions
The San Francisco 49ers’ defensive team hasn’t been too impressive in 2024, but they’ve shown signs of improvement lately. In the last two games, they conceded just 25 points combined. Now, they need to stop Tua, and if they pull it off, they’ll win the game.
