The 3.853-mile circuit challenges drivers with 17 turns and long straights, creating an ideal setting for overtaking. In simple words, this means that there’s gonna be plenty of excitement in Las Vegas on Sunday, November 24.
This race has the potential to decide the winner of the 2024 F1 season, which explains why oddsmakers are giving the role of the top favorites to the top three contestants for the title – Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc.
But only one of them can win on Sunday – who will it be? That’s what we’re going to try to answer in our 2024 Las Vegas GP preview.

Top 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix Favorites
The first Las Vegas Grand Prix in history was held last year and was won comfortably by Max Verstappen. His performances this year, however, haven’t been as great as last season, so it’s only logical to assume he might struggle on November 24.
Nevertheless, he’s still one of the top three favorites to win the 2024 Las Vegas GP, alongside Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.
It’s no surprise that Norris’ Las Vegas GP odds are as short as -265 given that he’s in peak form right now. Plus, he’s got huge motivation to win as such a scenario would bring him even closer to the No. 1 spot in the F1 Drivers’ Championship standings, which is currently occupied by Verstappen.
On top of everything, Norris wants to do well in Vegas so that he can forget about last year’s crash that cut his adventure short.
If you’re wondering why the Las Vegas GP odds for Charles Leclerc are -265, it’s because the Ferrari driver is famous for doing great in races demanding agility at top speed. The best evidence of this is that he finished second in Vegas last year.
Longshots That Might Shine on November 24
Verstappen’s Red Bull Racing colleague Sergio Perez is the man who finished third in last year’s race in Vegas. His 2024 odds make him a big underdog, but we wouldn’t be too shocked if he pulled off an upset.
Still, given that he hasn’t won a single race in 2024, we do think it’s unlikely he’ll be the one getting to the top of the podium this coming Sunday. But we do think he might end up on the podium.
We also think that Lewis Hamilton mustn’t be underestimated. The legendary driver is doing great at the moment, finishing on the podium in each of the last three F1 Races. The best thing is that he won two of those including the most recent race – the Belgian GP.
2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix Prediction
There are only three races left on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar, meaning that a driver can win up to 86 points in the remainder of the season. Given that Norris is trailing behind Verstappen by 62 points, not winning the Vegas Grand Prix would mean losing the race for the title.
Our prediction is that he’s gonna do all in his power to stay in the contest, which is why he’s our top pick to win on Sunday.
Pick: Lando Norris
